Always awesome. Where great food atmosphere and friends meet!

Server had too many large parties. Party of 6 and gratuity was added automatically. The server did not inform the party of this. Small portions and expensive. Food was good. Also very loud. Hard to have a conversation.

The staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free. Very sensitive to cross contamination. Separate fryers. I really felt confident eating here! Portions were appropriate. Kids meals were filling. Good selection at the bar along with wine beer and tequila! Ice cream for dessert!! Mmmm

Fabulous food, atmosphere ( minus the day of the dead stuff), service and great value. Felipe was our server and very attentive and personable. The salsa had a delightfully strong cilantro flavor... yum!! We took extra home.Also the veggie quesadillas and enchiladas con mole which are pictured here. Everything was wonderful and we were there close to closing and the quality of everything was still most excellent.

The food was amazing! I had the Mexican flag 🇲🇽 and he got the scallops and pork belly tacos. The portions are a bit small when comparing to your cheap authentic Mexican places, but the service was fantastic and if you get an appetizer + free chips and salsa you should be good. Our server was one of the best parts of our experience she was wonderful about reviewing the menu with us and offering her suggestions.

Good tasting food, ok selection of margaritas but a very very good tequila selection to make. Our server Amanda was very courteous and polite and was always available when we needed her. Good place for drinks

Best Mexican food and atmosphere is Raleigh! Tried much of the menu and have never had a bad meal. The service has always been fantastic.

Very expensive for what you get!We eat here every so often bc my daughter loves mexican and its close to our house. First time getting order to go. Pretty disappointed with my $6.00 cheese dip that was barely over half filled in the small container. Staff is super nice and we love the atmosphere. Love the star lanterns inside.

Took extremely long time to receive our food. The waitress was extremely nice and good about it and did well. Several people that were seated well after us and ordered after us got their food before we did. Don't know where the ball was dropped with that. All together the food was extremely good and the atmosphere was nice. I'd recommend going and will.go again hopefully this was just a one time goofup

It's good. Rarely do I feel like it's excellent, but the atmosphere makes up for what it lacks on the plate. I enjoy how fresh everything is and that there is a for special usually. Wish there were more solid vegetarian / pescetarian options

We went here with a group of seven where one was a two year old. We went at an early time and had no problem finding a seat. We were seated in an outdoor area that was wonderfully climate controlled. We quickly got our chips and salsa but only got three salsas. I personally prefer my own salsa and asked for more which came quickly. We ordered guacamole which was good but we thought it was not as flavorful as it should be. The queso we ordered was also very tasty but was very runny and difficult to get onto a chip. I personally didn't order a dinner entree but the others at the table were happy with their meals. This is a really good Mexican place but could improve. The atmosphere is really wonderful and lively everywhere.

I love love LOVE this place! My friend brought me here six years ago when I was visiting her and I demanded we come back when I came to visit her this time. I’ve been dreaming about the Talega desert that entire time. The atmosphere it great, the service is wonderful and the food is superb.

What more can I say about the day of the dead and mask wearing wrestler restaurant that has t been said before. Queso is a must have and the drinks are pretty good, but nothing really fancy. They have a pretty decent selection of tequilas to choose from. The chicken nachos are pretty sweet and weren't amazing. The steak tacos were on point though. So if you want a cool atmosphere and good service then look no further.

The food was delicious, and the guacamole was particularly good. The spicy pineapple margaritas were excellent, and our waiter was great. A very positive experience in a place with such fun insta-worthy decor! Went for dinner with the family and truly enjoyed the food, good service, and ambience. Not too cramped or noisy. Waiter was attentive and made great suggestions. Food was excellent and a good value. Will be back!

Too Pricey! Lovely decor! They hit the nail on the head with that one. They say don't drink the water in Mexico. Well don't drink the water here. It is horrible. Food was very good. Not worth the price. Over priced!

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Raleigh...or you can get the food truck for parties/events and eat Gonza anywhere! Food is excellent, atmosphere is even better. Great family restaurant to take the kids, or for an adult night out. I love taking clients here for lunch between showing homes-sometimes we're lucky and get one of The Perry Group's glasses to drink from 😜

This place has been my favorite restaurant for years now. I’ve been to every location and I’m never disappointed by the food or the service. I love how they keep the menu small - definitely quality over quantity and it pays off because every menu item is delicious. I always recommend this place if someone is looking for a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or to entertain out of town guests. Gonza is always at this location and is a super friendly guy.

Despite Corona, my family and I wanted to make the most of Cinco De Mayo. We decided to order from the best place in town, Gonzo. We ordered and there was a significant wait time (most of RDU had the same idea) but I cannot commend Gonzo enough for how well they handled it. My brother-in-law did wait a significant amount of time but they were constantly apologizing and informing him of updates. They also offered him free drinks while he waited. To top it off, the food was delicious despite the wait. I look forward to this all being over and being able to sit down at Gonzo’s. Highly recommend.

Our go-to place for tacos and tequila. Love everything on the menu. Cannot go wrong with any location but really like the Lead Mine because of the vibe.

Came here for lunch with my family and it was really tasty! It is pretty dark inside but neat little space. As other reviewers mention, some of the portions were huge (chilaquiles!) and some were smaller (tacos!) so be sure to ask about that if you're super hungry. They had lots of gluten free options and some vegetarian as well.

This place took me by surprise...I’ve heard great things about it but going and experience it for myself was awesome. The serve was beyond great. Our server Camden, wow what a cool guys, friendly, knowledgeable and give some great recommendations on what to eat. You can definitely go here for a date, girls’ night or with a group kids included. There were little kids in there but it added nothing but joys to the entire atmosphere. When we walked in it was bigger than we thought with lots of seating. Parking was a bit of a hassle...maybe because it was a Friday night and it was hard to find the front door when we tried to go inside. Other than that everything was great. The fresh salsa and warm chips that was complementary was so good. I order guacamole which was fresh and had larger chunks of avocado. Which was lovely. View my pics for more on the food. #mustgo

We are out of towners sitting with grand daughters and they said Gonzas was their fav....so being good Grands we took them there. We can see why they love it. Good food great service and very fam oriented. The "Gonza" even brought out the kids courtesy ice scream...highly recommended for couples or families.

With Covid-19 and all, you expect wait times to be a little longer, right? We showed up expecting to do takeout and instead were thrilled to sit inside. Super clean, they followed all CDC guidelines and we were having a great time. Food was taking a little to come out and we totally understood due to how many people they had outside waiting. The manager/owner was the sweetest when he came over and upon leaving, we were told it was all taken care of. Even the food we didn’t wait on. This was something that blew me away, especially in times like these and honesty it was so sweet. I wish we could have paid because it wasn’t even that long but they refused. The food here is excellent and worth the wait, the manager just went above and beyond just to make sure customers were happy.

I'm from out of town so this was recommended place for Mexican. Glad I took the advice! The food was very flavorful and drinks were delicious! Would recommend!

First right off the bat let me just say David our server was AMAZING and know how to up sell items on the menu with ease. He and the rest of the staff was super friendly and David always made sure that our drinks were filled( That's a big deal in my books). The restaurant itself was fairly popular on a Thursday evening around 730pm but only had a 30 minute wait. And while you waited there are two swings you can sit and relax on. The food was great. However the guacamole seemed bland lacking lime or salt.
